Counselling Skills Course-Ciq & Cdp
Although I am not an addict to alcohol or drugs I found this course information very helpful to every day living. It information can be used in building a better lifestyle in all areas of ones life. Building friendships, accepting people for who they are not what we expect them to be and being their for them in giving them the confidence they need can help them develop into more confident people. Another part of this is affirming oneself, speaking positively and doing so loudly, anger management, and how to deal with it. Being in control in all aspect of one’s life is of great importance. Looking at what makes you angry, and looking at the three ways of how you can analyse and work it out helps. The calming nature sceen and being out in nature meditation all are important for our daily lives and living healthy so that stress and frustrations are kept to the minimum. Thanks for this course found it to be of benefit to myself.
ok
The course had some good theories about different types of counselling. The way the course is written, particularly in the last two modules is directed at the reader, using ‘you’ rather than ‘the client’. The course starts off with a lot of information, towards the end the information is more brief, and the quality of the writing becomes less clear. Some of the sentences towards the end of the course do not make sense. It contains a variety of videos which are helpful in incorporating different learning styles. This course relies heavily on American videos and the use of some American terminology, which can affect the interpretation of the information.
The Final Test, and Mock Test had some repeated questions, and the test relied on remembering answers to specific sentences, which did not always make sense. For some questions, more than one answer could fit and would convey the same meaning, as is intended by the sentence, however only the specific answer written in the text would be accepted.
One problem that I had is that I completed the Final Test, waited until the last minute to submit my answers (as I was checking them), and my test was rejected because the timer was down to 2 seconds. To re-submit the test I would now have to pay 3 pounds 99 pence. I did this course because I found it on ‘Reed’, which I deem to be a reputable website, however due to the lack of sentence clarity towards the end of the course, the repetition of poorly worded questions in the ‘Final Test’ and the lack of warning that you must ‘submit’ your test before the 30 minute timer finishes, I do not deem this to be a very reputable course. This has disappointed me because it had a lot of good content.
FANTASTIC CLASS
LOVED IT GREAT CLASS
